Where to meet other mums in Belgium and build your support network

When you become a mum (whether for the first time or not) life changes in every possible way. Your routines, your priorities, even your conversations shift overnight. If you’ve recently moved or don’t have family nearby, it’s easy to miss having someone to share those everyday ups and downs with. Sometimes, what you need most is another mum to laugh with about the little things, to swap tips with, or simply to sit next to while your babies play.

Why connecting with other mums matters

Having a circle of mums who understand what you’re going through can make a huge difference to your mental and emotional wellbeing. It’s not just about swapping baby tips. It’s about sharing laughs, venting on hard days, and knowing you have people who truly get it.

Where to meet other mums

1. Join a local mum and baby class

This is one of the easiest ways to meet other mums who are in a similar stage of life. At SuperMums Belgium, our classes are more than just fitness. After each session, we take time to chat, share experiences, and support each other. Many lifelong friendships have started in our studio.

2. Take part in our SuperMums events

Every other Friday we organise a SuperMums coffee, where we propose a topic and we discuss our worries and share experiences and tips around a nice breakfast.
We organise a SuperMums Night Out every 6 weeks to have dinner and fun dancing with the other girls.
We regularly offer workshops on varied topics related to postnatal recovery, birth preparation, breastfeeding, and more. In SuperBellies (our prenatal programme), the last 15 minutes of every class are dedicated to open conversation and birth preparation. It’s a safe space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect.

3. Have a Whatsapp group of expat mums just like you

Pregnancy and motherhood come with endless questions and doubts. That’s why our SuperMums WhatsApp community of over 300 mums is such a treasure, because they’ve already been through exactly what you’re experiencing right now.

Whether it’s about helping your baby sleep through the night, choosing between breastfeeding or bottle feeding, introducing solids, or even finding a daycare spot… you’ll always find support. And beyond practical advice, it’s also a safe space to share fears, release some mental load, or simply enjoy a laugh together.

This community is the true heart of SuperMums, a family where you’ll instantly feel lighter, supported, and connected.

The SuperMums Belgium difference

Because we’re a small, friendly community, our classes naturally encourage conversation and connection. We welcome mums from all over the world, making it a safe space to share your experiences without judgement. Whether you’re pregnant, newly postnatal, or further along in motherhood, you’ll find people who are right there with you.

The takeaway

Feeling lonely as a new or expecting mum is more common than you think. The key is to take the first step, whether that’s joining a class, attending a SuperMums workshop, or starting a conversation. Your future friends are out there, and they’re probably looking for you too.
